Beavers

The Colony, is for boys and girls aged six to eight

Beaver Scouts are our youngest members. They usually meet weekly to take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, visits and good turns, along with plenty of outdoor activities. They will also take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers. It may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it’s a real adventure for them. They are expected to take the Beaver promise and know the Beaver Promise.

The Beaver Scout Promise

I promise to do my best to be kind and helpful and to love God.

The Beaver Scout Law

There is no formal Beaver Scout Law. The concepts expressed in the Scout Law are to be presented to Beaver Scouts through games, storytelling and other informal activities.

Note: Scouting is open to people of all faiths and of none, and must therefore take account of the different religious obligations of its Members while upholding the essential spirit of the Promise. Where some other form of wording is required for a member of a particular faith or religion, advice will be sought from the Group Scout Leader.
