News from the European Scout Region: A new Triennium and a new leadership

The 23rd European Scout Conference took place in Split, Croatia, in August 2019. It was the moment to summarise the work done in the last 3 years and to plan what should be done in the next 3 years. The European Scout Foundation also presented its report: 80% growth in the number of FOSE during the triennium, 65 FOSE receptions, increasing support to projects…

For the next 3 years, the members of European Scout Committee will be: Lars Kramm (Germany, chairman), Martin Persson (Sweden, vice-chairman), Joaquim Castro de Freitas (Portugal), Julijana Daskalov (North Macedonia), Matthias Gerth (Switzerland), and Elena Sinkevičiūtė (Lithuania). The Conference was also the time of transition of Regional Directors. David McKee retired after 15 years of service and was succeeded by Abir Koubaa. We look forward to working together with the new leadership.
