Dear Beavers, Cubs & Scouts.
We’ve got some great news – the Toy Sale raised €100 in sales ! Together with some money from the food and personal donations the total amount that the group will be able to give to the Shelterbox charity will be €165.
This is a fantastic achievement from all of you – well done! You should all be very proud of how you all entered into the spirit of community by bringing things to sell and generously giving up half of your proceeds.
Reminder – What it’s all about…
We are raising money so that we can donate at least one box (and more if possible). Here’s what a box contains http://www.youngshelterbox.org/inside.php. If you look closely, you’ll see that there are many things that we take to camp just for a weekend. Can you imagine living of the same items as a family for a month or more?
We will be adding to the money raised during the course of the year. Keep an eye out for the events that we will run this year and feel free to send us fund raising idea suggestions (with a Scouting theme).
